I had a service on March 25th and the technician stole my son's play station 4 with 8 games and two gold diamond rings. YOU DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I got a groupon and they used a local company named 1st Global Cleaning, LLC and they sent the technician Grant Hoefener. He showed up at my house with a friend who wasn't even hired for the company. Also, how come the company will hire people with so many felonies and send them to our houses. Poor service and don't use it. They didn't want to respond for anything. don't use

I bought a Groupon to have my whole house's vents cleaned out. I was really mostly concerned with my dryer vent that leads out of the house. The knuckleheads that they sent out at 9:30 pm in February only wanted to sell me services. I told them to forget the rest of the house and just do the dryer vent. I didn't feel safe with these guys in my house. No uniforms and seemed very shady. Monday evening, my laundry room went up in flames. Cause? The dryer vent was COMPLETELY clogged. Fire Department confirmed this as the cause. I am now left w/ smoke damage throughout my house, no dryer and it also took out my washing machine.

Wasted Too Much Time on It's Duct Time
Overall, a poorly executed and very concerning experience. It's Duct Time sold vouchers On LivingSocial and then subcontracted the work out to other vendors. This was not disclosed as a part of the deal fine print and further contributed to our poor customer experience. It's Duct Time subcontracted our maintenance with a company "Myrefrshair Inc.". That is not a typo, they have invoices with the missing e in fresh. First, they had blown off the first appointment scheduled for 3PM on 12/3 with a no call, no show. My wife had to continue calling back to It's Duct Time's call center to get updates which were uncertain and lacking details. This should have been our first red flag. Regardless, we rescheduled the appointment for 12/9 first thing in the morning. The morning of 12/9, technicians from Myrefrshair showed up and performed the maintenance. During the maintenance one of the technicians presented a customer scare story regarding mold in the metal ducts and advised it could be removed for an additional $400 using an undisclosed cleaning solvent. Second red flag should have been raised at this time, but we attributed it to overzealous technicians trying to up sell the customer. After the maintenance was performed, the technicians left our home. Shortly after we realized that the house was no longer heating properly and we contacted Myrefrshair on 12/10. We first attempted to contact the technicians who performed the maintenance, but our calls went to voice mail with no response. We then escalated the issue to It's Duct Time who in turn contacted Myrefrshair and advised them of our issue. It was not until the next morning, 12/11 that they had a technician come out to troubleshoot the issue. He assured us that he will take care of us and make sure we had heat for our family before he left. After hours of troubleshooting, the tech was stumped and was preparing to leave. He assured us that he will have somebody out at the house that evening, which never happened. Shortly after that, we took matters into our own hands and had a family friend who is an HVAC technician look at the system. The issue was our ducts were damaged in multiple areas by the brushes used during cleaning. The morning of 12/12, Myrefrshair had an independent, local HVAC technician come out to look at the system. The HVAC technician arrived prior than the tech from Myrefrshair and quickly identified ducting was compromised in multiple areas where a brush had penetrated the flexible material. Once the Myrefrshair tech arrived onsite and we shared the identification of the root cause, he pulled the HVAC technician outside and had a heated conversation. At the conclusion of the conversation, the technician from Myrefrshair advised that our ducts were old and brittle and they has disintegrated somehow during cleaning. He then offered two repair options. First was to tape the ducts in order to fill in any gaps and reattach the ducts in areas were it had been severely damaged for $150. Second option was to replace the damage ducting for $400 and cited discounted labor rates at the duct alone was $300 for the materials. At this point we called BS. The HVAC technician that had visited our home that morning indicated that the flex duct replacement material was $65 for a 14 foot replacement of the damaged section of flex duct. Our trust and confidence was completely gone with Myrefrshair as this seemed like another opportunity to bilk the customer out of money. We then told the Myrefrshair technician that we were going to have it handled by a 3rd party HVAC technician and bill them. Only after putting a hold on the check to Myrefrshair and providing the stern guidance did Myrefrshair offer a fair compromise to have the independent 3rd party HVAC tech repair the damage at their cost. In the end, our ducts are clean and the heat now works. However, It's Duct Time needs to be held accountable by LivingSocial for their undisclosed sale of subcontracted services with a significant lack of ownership for service delivery leading to a poor customer experience. It's Duct Time has listed on their website under FAQs that their methods do not employ techniques that harm duct work, "While our equipment is designed to be aggressive at removing debris from your air system, it is also gentle enough so that it does not damage your air ducts". However, they clearly cannot monitor or guarantee this aspect of service since the work is being performed by subcontracted companies. Furthermore, the subcontracted companies should be monitored for the bait and switch type of up sell or products and services. In the case of the mold treatment, what happens if the chemical that was applied to the duct work is corrosive or has warnings that the consumer is not aware of on the product label? Did Myrefrshair consider the fact that my wife is pregnant when they recommended this service and chemical application? Where is the quality and oversight by It's Duct Time with regards to the companies that they dispatch, their qualifications, and follow up? Lastly, considerations need to be weighed by LivingSocial for who is responsible for negligence by deal service providers. It can easily be argued in this case that It's Duct Time and their subcontracted partner were both negligent in the above experience.

Its duct time scam- they arent even the company that does the work
I am from Indianapolis and I can tell you without a doubt it is a scam. Its simple bait and switch. This company like many others only sells these coupons on social media sites. Its duct time then has local scammer companies come in to do the work. In Indianapolis, ods are it will be Home Service Guys to come and scam you. You could buy a Home Service Guys or Its Duct Time coupon and its most likely still going to be the same people to come. Home Service Guys will even show up for Quality Air coupons. No matter which you buy, their objective is to get in your house quickly and start and then hit you with a large estimate. How do I know this? I was scammed into working breifly for Home Service Guys and seen everything I just described first hand. There was one guy running this scam basically, sitting at home putting out these rediculous deals on social media sites and then finding people to go do this dirty scam for him. These so called technicians dont have any skills and they come and go quickly. They dont make a dime unless they get money out of you. They only get a small percentage of it as well. Dont buy these things, dont ever get scammed into working for one of these. I quickly realized what was going on and they werent happy when I wouldnt push and push homeowners and basically stealctheir money. Yes I needed to make some money like we all do, but not that way. Its not right. You all need to realize wether you give them 500 or nothing at all they arent going to do anything different. All they will do is mess around and try to take a little longer so you think you are getting something.

Hard to contact, non scheduled appointments
Was trying to use a Living Social Deal. I cancelled one appointment b/c wanted to wait till after some house work was done. When I tried to reschedule, they were impossible to get a hold of. When you did get a hold of someone, they were rude and short. One girl told me I had an appointment and so I put it in my calender thinking it was scheduled, when it came to that day, I called to confirm and some other girl said they had no record of my appointment. So many problems like this, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

Bait and Switch - After three no-shows
I purchased a Groupon deal that specifically stated, "Its Duct Time, armed with HEPA-filtered machinery, arrive to remove the whole mess from the entire ventilation system, improving air quality as well as the performance of HVAC systems." After multiple no-shows, including a same day confirmation and then not showing up a few hours later, "Its Duct Time"'s hired contractors finally showed up. What happened next was quite unbelievable. Instead of removing "the whole mess from the entire ventilation system" or even performing the "whole home air duct cleaning" that was advertised, I was told it was going to cost almost $1200 to perform the service that had been advertised.

I have been scammed
I want a refund. The man was rude, moved everything to get to ducts, didn't move it back. Left the dirty air filter in my living room. Refused to give me his name. Gathered up his equipment and left without acknowledging he was finished. Was clearly pissed because I didn't want to by a better cleaning package. He totally gave me the creeps. he never cleaned that actual HVAC unit, just ran a vacuum at the floor and ceiling vent. I guess it was my fault for not reviewing this company. I'm pissed, but more than that, creeped out by this guy Steve.

BEWARE!!! THEFT!!!
Technician showed up and insisted on hooking the loud vacuum up in my office where I work from....after telling him several times, NO....he hooked it up in another room. I work from home and was on the phone most of the time he was at my house (which was a whole 20 minutes). After he left, I went to check my jewelry box as I had an uneasy feeling... $8,000 worth of jewelry GONE!!!! Called the owner of the company, he told me he didn't believe me!!! After calling the police and filing a theft, I checked my vents......they were filthy!!! BEWARE!!!

No show, cleaning is a joke
Couple hours after appointment time, no one show up. Called the company and complaint, they said will sent tech over. Two techs show up in an hour. They hook up an vacuum to one of the supply/register, One tech spent the whole time try to sell me better cleaning package from $800 UV filter to $400 brush clean package. he said the Groupon deal I bought is only for very basic cleaning. While he spent the whole time to try getting me buying additional stuff & service, I was not convince. So he stand up and tell the other tech to pack up equipment. I asked "did you fish cleaning ducts?" He replied YES,WE'RE DONE. I said I didn't see you cleaning the vent/register, he said with the basic clean, they don't open the vent/register and vacuum it, they only have blow air into it and have a vacuum hookup to one of the vent in the main floor. With every vents in the house open (12 of them) they hook up a vacuum to one of them, then use a tiny little hand blower and blow air into each vent. Do you think this is cleaning?

It's Duct Time doesn't know anything about time
I purchased an online deal for a whole house air duct cleaning. When I called to schedule the appointment, they were a month out. It was scheduled for today between 10-noon. I called yesterday to confirm this. I got confirmation. They were a "no show" between 10-noon. I called them at 12:30 and was on hold for a while. While I was on the phone with the 800 number, the technician called and said he had another appointment that was scheduled for 11:30 and he would come here after that. I explained that my appointment was scheduled for even earlier than the other appointment and I have another appointment this afternoon so couldn't he come here first. He told me to call him after my other appointment and he would try to come then. I told him to just plan to be here at 4pm. I would be home by then. He said to just call him because he couldn't promise anything. Are you kidding me! I've been waiting around all morning. I've got to promise to be home for a 2 hour block if I want service but now he can't make any promises (or keep his scheduled appointments). They have a complete disregard for other people's time!

Company failed to show up twice for service
I bought a Living Social voucher for an air duct cleaning service called "Its Duct Time". I should have known by the fact they spelled their company name incorrectly that this was a bad idea. I made an appointment between 3 and 5pm for a few days later. I didn't receive the confirmation call I was told I'd receive the day before, but I let it slide. At 5pm, no one had come by yet. I called the 888 number...they have one phone number for all of the cities they "service". It rang once and was disconnected. I tried three more times and the same deal. Not even a voicemail! I looked up their website and decided that it was a front for something else because their website is remedial at best. I complained to Living Social that I thought the company was a sham since I could no longer get anyone on the phone. They wrote me back the next day, said it was legitimate and they had just called and someone answered, so they could not refund my money. I did call Its Duct Time back, and when they finally answered, I made another appointment. They did admit that they had me on the schedule that day between 3 and 5pm but it was a "no show" on their part and they said they noted that on my account. So they were to come over again on a different date, between the hours of 2 and 4pm. I called them the morning of, since I again did not receive a confirmation call the day before to confirm the appointment as I was told (both times) I would receive. She said that when they get really busy, that's usually something they "drop" and don't do at the end of the day since they run out of time (!!!). She did confirm my appointment, and I told her about the last time where I waited for 2 hours and no one showed up, and she assured me someone would come by between 2 and 4pm that day. I waited until 3:45 and called them, asking if the person was still coming. The girl who answered the phone said she'd call the technician, see where he was, and have him call me with an estimated time of arrival. No one ever called me back. I called them 5 times the next morning and either got the answering machine, or it rang once or twice and then was disconnected just like before. I kept calling until someone finally answered. I told them the deal and he had someone from management call me back. When we talked, she said, "So, we need to reschedule you?" Not an apology, no explanation. I asked how they could run a business like this. She said they had to fire some technicians in the Charlotte/Raleigh area so they were short-staffed. THEN DON'T BOOK MORE APPOINTMENTS THAN THEY CAN HANDLE!! I said at this point I can only hold out hope that Living Social refunds my money and there's no way in *** I'm taking another 2 hours off work to give them any business...honestly I feel like the same thing would happen again. I wasted a total of 6 hours of not being at work (including commute time) on these people. And they had no excuse and really acted like they could care less about the entire situation. Rinky-*** b.s. company...do NOT give them your business!!!

It's duct time is a scam
I bought this service through Groupon. It took 2 months to get the first appointment. I sat home all day and no one showed up. in advance. I called and complained was told that someone had cancelled the appointment. She made one for the following week. Again I waited all day only to have the same thing happen again. The call center was in California and couldn't give me the name of anyone here locally. I have searched the website and can't find anyone to get in touch with. I believe it is a total fraud. I intend to report this to the BBB.

It's Duct Time is a Scam
I purchased an Amazon Local deal for a whole house duct cleaning. I had to make an appointment more than a month out and when the appointment time came, no one showed up. There was no call or notification of any kind. When I called I was told that I was on the list for that day and my technician should be there later on, and that they would call me back after they got a hold of the tech with a time. No one called. I called them later on and was told a hasty "the technician called in sick." I explained that I would like to be notified before I take time off work for an appointment that isn't going to happen, rescheduled for the next week, and asked to speak to a manager. I was told the manager would call me back. No one ever did. The second appointment was a complete repeat, (a no show, only this time when I tried to call back for more info I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. After 10-15 minutes on hold I always got an answering machine. After the fifth time I got a hold of someone. First phone tech had no idea what I was talking about. The "manager" *hands the phone to the person beside her* was a little bit more helpful. Helpful in the fact that they did nothing for me as a customer. Long story long, I had her cancel the entire thing and I never plan on going back. Where is a good company when you need one??

No Show
I purchased a Groupon for It's Duct Time air duct cleaning, on July 26th. Scheduled my appointment for today, September 10th, which was the first open appointment. After not receiving a confirmation call and hearing from a local person that this company is known for not showing, I contacted the number on the Groupon certificate. They told me there was a local dispatch center that would need to contact me back. I received a call from the local dispatch asking if I would like to "schedule" an appointment! Seriously?! I just wasted a day, waiting for them to come and they never scheduled my appointment???? This is ridiculous!!

I work with Its duct time here locally in Atlanta and I don't scam customers. I'm there to do what is in the coupon description.
If there are no issues with the ductwork ie: mold, mildew, clogged coils restricting air flow, rat droppings water in emergency drain pans and all the other small problems that can become large problems in a hurry, I do the job, leave my card and hope they'll pass my name to a friend. If they have issues, I charge to solve the issues at a rate that can't be beaten here locally. My goal is repeat business. If you charge a customer $800.00 to do a mold treatment, they'll never call you again.
I would also like to know how you were tricked into working for a scam? Was it hypnosis? Please elaborate. If who you were working for/with was scamming customers, they won't be around long.
To be honest, to me this sounds like someone who couldn't cut it out there. Me personally, I have so many referrals that I can't even get to my internet coupon customers week to week.
I do exceptional work at a great price and my customers are pleased. I suggest you man up and stop blaming your short comings on real men and women who are providing jobs to people with the right attitude in a struggling economy.
